Cartel Venue Systems CVS→Ω End to the Bastards!
“I didn’t attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it.” Mark Twain
Bastards, only fitting all three lived and died by your own sword! Least of you was shown pity as your mind wasted away forgetting your deeds. Oh, but mercy did not shine on malignant two ‘blood brothers.’ Burning of sarcoma growing and growing until it squeezed your brain to an ice cold death!
Parallels in this slice and dice of life and death? That’s a capital Y, capital E, and capital S!
“Stanley Goldstein, who helped build CVS drugstore empire, dies at 89.” Goldsteins’, did you receive my ‘nice letter”? The “Family members told The Providence Journal that the cause was cancer, diagnosed about a month ago.”
Speaking of CANCER, I hear “CVS Caremark Corporation Settles FTC Deceptive Pricing Charges ‘including drugs used to treat breast cancer symptoms and epilepsy – at CVS.”
Idea of fighting or standing up to cancer is misdirected. It comes down to the Employer and Health Insurance company boss contracts with. Ladies, if ‘Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned’, then where’s the fury for a life cut short?
Neither Stan nor Sid were pharmacists let alone doctors. Nothing but ordinary retail salesmen and used car salesmen are scratching their heads saying, ‘Damn and I thought selling ‘lemons’ was unethical.’
When you heard John F. Kennedy’s inaugural address, “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country,” was your first thought, ‘I can fuck my country and get rich doing it!?’
Of course, as my Readers will tell you, I’m partial to President Theodore Roosevelt and his words in describing a Scottish born immigrant, Andrew Carnegie.
“There is no type of man for whom I feel a more contemptuous abhorrence than for the one who makes a God of mere money-making…All the suffering from Spanish war comes far short of the suffering, preventable and non-preventable…during the time that Carnegie was making his fortune…. Unrighteous war is a hideous evil; but I am not at all sure that it is worse evil than business unrighteousness.”
Yep, hear business of sick people is pretty good. “CVS retail and health-care empire whose annual revenue now surpasses companies such as Exxon and Microsoft.”
Big Oil and Big Tech, looks like you’re in the wrong business 🙂 If data is the new oil, then it’s a matter of time before your bosses join Stan and Sid.
Of course, the new ‘Health’ racket is called PBM, Pharmacy Benefit Manager.
“PBM: What Doesn’t Kill You Makes Us Money”
In my September 5, 2020 paper, “PBM: What Doesn’t Kill You Makes Us Money”, I point out how vertical integration “creates perverse incentives for PBMs to shut out independent pharmacies at the expense of the American public.” – Earl Leroy “Buddy” Carter, Republican U.S. Representative, Georgia
Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) vertical integration of Pharmacy and Insurance allows for control of the 3 Ps – Pharma, Physician, and Patient. As Pharma prices soared at the height of 1990, PBMs set themselves up for the 21st century → Key roles of negotiating drug prices and authorizing drugs.
Cut or dice it however you like, patients are getting the raw end of “sweetheart deals.” In my June 28, 2021 paper, “Biggest Syndicate Swindle: Employer-PBM”, I highlight, CVS ↔ Cartel Venue Systems.
PBMs Exclusive Drug Deals have become the Negotiator and Closer of your drug. Brian S. Feldman’s March 17, 2016 article, “Big pharmacies are dismantling the industry that keeps US drug costs even sort-of under control” points to its beginnings and administrations “greenlighting” their deals.
Billions in Multistate Deception
DOJ settlements from lawsuits in deregulated markets end in ‘peanuts.’ Looking for bigger fish? How about Cartel Venue Systems CVS? “With $322 billion in revenue…larger than Google’s Alphabet, Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway, and Microsoft.”
Big Tech and Big Berk, Stanley’s advice. “It’s as simple as listening to your customers,” he said. “Don’t think, ‘Let’s make a profit this way or that way.’ You satisfy your customers, you’ll do fine.” Of course, when he says ‘customers,’ I don’t think he’s referring to citizens. Right, neither are you.
Playing God by picking winners and losers? More like Death. As taxes, the Deathman commeth. Stan, why not hedge your bets and purchase a life insurance company? Right, nearest thing to heaven is Health and getting Patients to buy ‘life’ from the gatekeeper to death.
“CVS Health acquired the Aetna insurance network in 2018 in a $69 billion merger that created a major alliance linking patient care, prescription drugs and other services.” Bundling or the old ‘Two for One’ switcharoo?
“Caremark” you’re busted! PBM “agreed to pay $38.5 million in a multistate settlement of claims that it was deceptive when it encouraged patients to switch prescription drugs under the guise of saving money.”
Lawsuits go back to the late 1990s and early 2000s. But wasn’t the old man long retired? Not a chance. Stan, “after stepping away from active leadership, Mr. Goldstein remained on the CVS board through 2006.” All on your watch!
“The investigation began in 2004 and is similar to multistate investigations of other major pharmacy benefits management companies.” State Settlements include:
“Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington and Washington, D.C.”
That’s 29 States. Damn, that’s over half the country!
Philanthropy?
CVS, how about a State that didn’t sue? One that got ‘burned’ by their local government and utility company? Hawai’i! But instead of donating how about investing? You know, make some money on your ‘kindness to strangers.’
Didn’t take you long. “CVS Health invests nearly $35 million in affordable housing in Hawai’i.” Wait, wasn’t that about the same amount you paid in ‘multistate settlement of claims’?
So, no homes? Kinda opens it up to slumlords, doesn’t it ‘Stantheman’?
Hawaiians, as I note in my May 3rd paper, “Tech Companies’ Deceptive ‘Renewable Energy’ & Global ‘Climate Solution’ Extractors” guard well this ‘affordable housing’ is NOT economically driven and poorly built on extreme weather paths. Sad if you go from fires to floods. Nobody wants another ‘Katrina.’
IMPORTANT: Contractor to design and built, a Pro or Con? May also wish to avoid contracting government workers protected by ‘immunity’ laws (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers). If work is flawed, as levees in New Orleans, you CANNOT legally hold them responsible.
But Stan is not alone in ‘giving back.’ “The Bezos Academy Montessori preschool…could have a significant impact on the local workforce.” It’s a shame. Appears neither Stan nor Bozo are able to help patients and employees in other states.
Oh wait! What about sports? What community couldn’t use a sports stadium? How about Stan’s hometown? “Across Rhode Island, the CVS corporate influence…such as a $54 million sports arena…”
It’s a shame State Senator plead guilty to fraud after the FBI and State Police investigation led to the prosecution by Assistant U.S. Attorneys. Really, surprised Corp Executives bribe politicians?
“Disclosures of back-channel meetings between CVS and state officials over corporate regulations led to the resignation of the state Senate president…”
American Businessmen, let me enlighten the so called philanthropists. Giving back is not the same as paying back.
Payback’s a Bitch!
CVS, one ‘good’ thing does not erase many, many, evil ones. Evil and Greedy John and John tried it. Read my September 2022 paper “Operation Scorpion Sting: Man-Made Cancers, mRNA and Stem Cells”
Mendacity of “justices” and lawyers through laws and a “two-step” loophole not only try to secretly sell what goes into a woman’s body (toxins) but control what can grow out of them. And do so shielding themselves from culpability and just restitution.
In an excellent report by the New Yorker:
“Yet all of us know what justice doesn’t look like. Johnson & Johnson’s most recent quarterly report shows twenty-four billion dollars in sales, and, in the eleven months since it filed for bankruptcy, an average of one woman a day has died waiting to find out if her case against the company would ever be heard.”
Damn Hard Choices: Life or Death?
Aunt Esther died on August 17, 2022. She joined her son Mikhail who died of complications of lupus the same year Aunt Esther was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Twenty years later, she was required by the PBM to inject into her body a series of drugs, including one with the lupus warning.
Unable to afford her doctor’s prescribed medicine, costing over $7,000 a month, because the PBM did NOT approve it, Aunt Esther was forced to take another alternative, an approved CVS drug infused into her veins. In less than two years, her MS exacerbated after being in remission for 20 years. Aunt Esther’s weakened body succumbed to a terrible death.
Being a proud woman, it also robbed Aunt Esther of her dignity. In my September 5, 2020 paper “PBM: What Doesn’t Kill You Makes Us Money” I spoke of my beautiful Aunt Esther whom I referred to as Aunt Etsy since I was a child:
Aunt Etsy built and ran two businesses while raising a family. Making hard choices is not new for her. But this damn hard choice is literally a matter of life or death. Does she live her life without taking any formulary or does she take the “free” formulary and risk a drug-induced disease or worse death?
Aunt Etsy comes from a legacy of strong, confident, brave and intelligent women. Our hearts may be in the past, but our feet are in the present where truth and our work endures for future generations to come.
Today, marks 660 days that the Merchant of Death robbed me of my Aunt Etsy.
“Today, CVS…a heath-care conglomerate with revenue of more than $350 billion in 2023” still stands.
But, Stan stands no more!
Cost of Living v Cost of Dying
Cost of lawsuits, settlements and pricey lawyers don’t come cheap. But big cost of medicine cost peoples’ lives. Lives pricier than business signs wouldn’t you say Mr. Stanley Goldstein?
Stan said, “All those letters cost a lot of money.” So what did you do Stan? Mr. Goldstein said. “So we shortened it to CVS.” So, how much did you shorten people’s lives? I hear that when it came to your store logo, using initials ‘made putting up signs a lot cheaper.’
Funeral homes also say you can make your loved ones’ gravestones a lot cheaper if you shorten name to just RIP. Tell us, how much are the lives of your sons and grandchildren worth?
Fancy or Ordinary, Pendulum Swings!
In a Providence Journal interview by columnist Mark Patinkin: “So he wasn’t fancy?” I asked. His son Larry, a developer who lives in Providence, laughed.
“That’s a capital N and a capital O,” he said.
Larry, so was it I who sent the fancy ‘nice letter’?
That’s a capital Y, capital E, and capital S!
Descendants of Merchants of Death, Be Patient! Fail or be taken down, reputation and all! It is the natural order of things.
Bastards, Cartel Venue Systems CVS, life’s vengeful arena awaits your brood. Shame you will not be present to see terror in their eyes, hear blade swing, back and forth, back and forth, until you can almost feel slashing on skin and its warm blood flow.
Bear witness to the pendulum’s final swing!
