Is this good for the 5G development for the U.S. and also around the world?”
FCC Commissioner O’Rielly’s responded: “5G is incredibly important and does have national security concerns…We have a role in that equation but not the deciding role.”

According to TechCrunch in 2019 these estimated numbers for Intel (5,700) and TSMC (4,800) though low were considerably better than Microsoft, Qualcomm, Apple and Google averaging (4,700, 4,900, 4,300, and 4,500).
Yet, Samsung and Sony obtained close to 20,000 grants.
