War Games and Dark Victories – Silicon Valley to Persia’s Valley of the Kings
Kings, Wars and Coinage. I am reminded of Darius’ blueprints. An immense legacy indeed. From his Army of Immortals to his Royal Roads and the unparalleled network of Tunnels.
In today’s ‘forever wars’, none has reached ‘Atari.’ Still, Iran, the central player, is unwelcomed to game board.
Israel, in this ‘war game’ reality at sea, air and land, let’s ‘SEAL the deal.” If Saeed Amidi, Founder and CEO of Plug and Play Tech Center in Silicon Valley, markets ‘products’ to Israel’s Startups, U.S. Defense and ‘Go’ to China, why not ‘Chess’ to Iran?
Rulers and Leaders have so perfected these concepts. It’s not surprising board games arose. Tech Center not about territorial conquest or Kingmakers?
If Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) was a deterrent in the Cold War, a stalemate of sorts persists today. Still, it does not present itself as ‘Seki’ or Mutually Assured Life.
Why? Reality of imminent defeat awakens instinct of survival, shunning ‘rules of engagement’ to win at any cost. Ready to sacrifice your King?
Fintech or DARIUS, New King?
Saeed Amidi, if ‘Plug and Play’ has more than 500 corporate partners worldwide” why few in BANKING or INVESTMENT Firms? Right, FINTECH!
If ‘Cash is King,’ is the King dead? Fintech is the new King!
In modern times, a coin’s worth is not measured by man or machine, but ‘miners’ of chains in a block.
Yet, it is the face of Darius on coins we see personifying his military power. Not hard to fathom how Darius’ Carriers via his communication network too was at play in blocking his enemies on his Royal Roads.
Saeed, Cinema as Cash, is dying if not already dead. Concept of the ‘movie business’ may still be functional. But have you reengineered the concept from your view of it in 2010?
Recall your words, “The entertainment industry is almost like a start-up. They start with an idea and script then build a team: The producer, the director, the cast and a product.”
Saeed, you are a visionary. It is quite clear that “From Iran to Silicon Valley, a Serial Entrepreneur Leaves His Mark” as noted by Wharton.
So too, a Persian King, the King of Kings, Darius!
Darius innovations are remarkable feats. Of course, Coinage, Roads, and Tunnels can and have been operationalized by the enemy, then and now.
Indeed, the Great Alexander too was a formidable force. But, as Alexander leveraged Darius’ strategic transportation and communication tactics against him, so too Darius of invaders and conquerors.
Persia’s King of Kings would be proud to see how his legacy played out.
Saeed, luck and ‘vantage point’ may have played a hand in your accomplishments. But as Darius discovered, at the hand of man or nature, cities as empires fall, as did his Persepolis.
Game On! Iran Soft Power Invites Israel Hard Power
Saeed, in the spirit of a game of chance, let’s take the ‘lucky building’ to Iran. Ironically, liken to Darius network, your center too is at play. Led by one with linkage to the Royal Roads?
Play Center is plugged into world networks, or is it the other way around? Saeed, in this powerful Silicon Valley of Kings what will be your legacy?
Iran, ready and prepared to rule modern World? Will it be from a position of strength? Key is knowing when to exercise hard power and personify soft power.
As US hard power invites Iran soft power, Iran’s ‘soft’ invitations seem to bring about a hard cascade of Israel’s power.
If Iran’s supreme leader frowns upon those engaging with the West, appears Israel, does not look fondly on the West planning to re-negotiate with Tehran on Nuclear Power.
Especially when hearing that “Iran’s Pezeshkian Vows to Lift Sanctions, Reconnect With World.”
Powerful Re-Networking Celebration? “EU’s top nuclear negotiator arrives in Tehran for talks” while “Leaders of Hamas, Hezbollah attend Pezeshkian’s inauguration.”
And if the Supreme Leader “deeply distrusts the United States and will set narrow foreign policy boundaries for Masoud Pezeshkian’’ as reported by New York Times, one need not think long of his view of those opening new doors and opportunities for Israel.
Saeed, it seems your interest in the Real Estate Market is quite open to Israel where “Plug-and-play homes aim to disrupt the construction industry.” May not be the only thing it’s disrupting.
If China moves the World chains of supply, who pulls your play center vertical plugs? Heed well, or, like Pezeshkian, “An astute English-speaking [entrepreneur] who has lived in the United” you too are seen as ‘make-believe American.”
I imagine time will tell if your ‘powers are strictly limited.’ Question is, is the play center’s soft powers welcomed by Iran’s hard power. Be reminded. Iran is not soft. Or, you would not have left.
King of Kings, Darius Legacy? Historians as Archeologists concur, “How to rule the ancient world.”
Alexander the Great? Says expert David Grant, Alexander’s Persian conquest was followed by “powerful generals…they fought each other for power in a bloody period of infighting and civil war known as the ‘Successor Wars’.”
Republic or State, be reminded. Neither King nor Military Commander you are. Heed, Darius’ and Alexander’s legacies need not be your ‘Achilles Heel.’
Dixon remarked, “Uncertainty is present in the decision-making process, not so much because there is a future as that there is, and will be, a past…”
Iran, Khayyám, through his poetry, conveys a similar thought, “The Moving Finger Writes; and, having writ, Moves on: nor all your Piety nor Wit Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line…”
Israel, ‘national mission’ or mission impossible? And at what cost? Priority Mission needs to be the Hostages! Or do you deem them collateral damage?
How are you negotiating with Hamas when you’re eliminating negotiators, one by one. In doing so you’ve eliminated opportunity for another ‘Schindler’ to save Hostages.
US and ISRAEL, easy to go on the Offensive. Yet, neither can call itself a Defense when neither defends its people. No, you did not start the war, but you as US ‘let’ it happen OR are NOT technologically superior as you claim.
Victory? Only DARK VICTORY awaits you if you continue on this path.
