Sweden’s Red House: The Beginnings of Green and Bullshit?
The bullshit of red political correctness has too found its way amongst green pastures. So where did this idea of “green” start? “The politics of global warming actually began in Sweden. Not China as most people supposed,” according to Rupert Darwall.
Moreover, in his 2017 book Green Tyranny, Exposing the Totalitarian Roots of the Climate Industrial Complex, Darwall poses a good question: “Given that Sweden started the global warming scare to get nuclear power, how did we end up with wind and solar?”
In The Heritage Foundation November 28, 2017 presentation we find that “Rupert Darwall traces the alarming origins of the green agenda, revealing how environmental scares have been deployed by our global rivals as a political instrument to contest American power around the world.”
Additionally, “Darwall examines the environmental propaganda scares of the last century, Sweden’s use of environmental alarmism to secretly aid Soviet Russia, and Germany’s alternative energy obsession that descended directly from the National Socialist regime.”
I find that on the subject of “green,” Darwall makes some compelling arguments but falls short when asked the ultimate question, “Is global warming actually happening or not?”
Darwall’s response, “motive is important, why this issue was put on the agenda.but the prototype of the global warming scare in my view is acid rain, and there it’s very very clear that the science turned out to be wrong.” Sure, but you didn’t answer the question.
Moreover, Darwall avoids a clear response by deferring to “what scientists themselves say about the certainties or lack of certainty regarding climate science and the global warming hypothesis.”
Becky Norton Dunlop, Ronald Reagan Distinguished Fellow, argued that “fearmongering…started off with a global warming crisis, then it became global warming, and then it became climate change.” She has a point.
Sure, but the one thing that is clear and certain is that we’re paying high prices for food and energy. The X-treme change in climate is either wrecking our homes and businesses or freezing our families in our apartments and houses. And when summer arrives again, we’ll be baking!
Four years have passed and while some may still side with Darwall, many continue to face a devastating reality: Loss of livelihood and loved ones. And viruses have nothing to do with it.
Ironically, a web of networks across the globe work interchangeably from communist to free market economy. Even more ironic or an oxymoron, is that the country from where the roots of green supposedly began, is the same one that reportedly exports its toxic waste. Or what I question, Sweden’s Waste: The Other Chemical Weapon?
Yet, coincidentally Sweden may share its reported communist sympathies with that of Chile’s new President-Elect. But will “La Estrella Solidaria” be aligned with Sweden’s “Yellow Cross?”
In any case, notions of “green” and “climate change” seem to be something they do share. Still, will Chileans forget the dark past where their own businessmen and leaders sacrificed their country’s children?
Where? In Arica we find waste removed from Sweden’s “red houses” ended up Where “Children of Men” Play: Swedish “Poisonous Wastes” Dumping Site in Chile.
Although I do not agree with all of Dunlop’s or Darwall’s views, Darwall’s explanation for the start of global warming is convincing, “to get governments to change policy, they had to reverse engineer the catastrophe.”
But good luck in reversing people’s behavior of needless and/or excessive shopping (especially in developed countries, specifically the US). People either don’t know or don’t care that every item in their home or transportation vehicles and public spaces is man-made, mainly made in China. Their poor air quality is a testament to your voracious appetites.
Sure, windmills, solar, and hydro create energy. But not at the amount & speed you need. Seems you’ve been too long inside your greenhouse and think “your shit doesn’t stink.” Time to get back to your Redhouse.
You see my fellow “green friends,” to really decrease carbon requires decreasing the need to get things and go places. Ready to drop your smartphone and go outside and play in your Redhouse?
Chile, Feliz Año Nuevo, Hermanos y Hermanas!!!
